The Northside Christian girls golf team made a nice run at the state tournament before finishing runnerup. Just like in this Top 10 this week!

4. Stevie Weatherford
The Weatherfords are synonymous with Land O'Lakes football, Stevie being the sixth brother to play there. But he was so good Friday night — two touchdown passes and 147 yards in the fourth quarter — I can't even remember those other guys' names. Was it Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky and Mike?
5. Lakewood football
Props to Lakewood grad Cory Moore, returning home and restoring the football program back to local prominence. Great guy, too. Well done, sir.
6. Parrish the thought
Plant swept the cross country team titles at the Class 4A, District 4 meet, but Chamberlain senior Mark Parrish stole the show — a career-best (by 7 seconds) time of 15 minutes, 28 seconds.
7. Cassie squared
Maybe we should be calling Palm Harbor University volleyball standouts Cassie Roy, top, and Cassie Wilkinson Cassius. Against Brandon, they floated like butterflies and stung like bees.
8. Lucky No. 13
The Land O'Lakes football team clinched a 13th straight playoff spot by beating Mitchell, the longest streak in Tampa Bay. Who says the No. 13 is unlucky (unless, um, you consider playing Jefferson in the first round unlucky).
9. Greatjob
It took seven years of running on the varsity, but Berkeley Prep senior Tyler Greathouse finally wins a cross country district title. Better late than never.
10. Perfect … for now
Tampa Catholic (8-0) is the only undefeated football team in Tampa Bay. They play Jesuit on Friday. 'Nuff said.
