The week ahead | Can't-miss events in the county

WEDNESDAY
Baseball, Seminole (19-0) at Dunedin (16-3), 7 p.m.: Both teams have wrapped up their divisions in conference play, so this matchup will be a preview of next week's PCAC title game.
Softball, Countryside (19-3) at Palm Harbor University (12-6), 4 p.m.: This always entertaining rivalry game should be a good tuneup for next week's district tournaments.
THURSDAY
Track, PCAC meet at Clearwater, 1 p.m.: The conference meet comes a week before district competition for the Class 3A and 4A public schools. Expect Countryside boys and Lakewood girls to contend for titles.
Tennis, district tournaments: The bulk of the county meets wrap up district action this day. The best individual matchup should be in Class A, District 10, where Shorecrest's Morgan Basil and CCC's Kara Kucin will battle for a singles title.
FRIDAY
Softball, Countryside (19-3) at Seminole (12-5), PCAC softball championship, 7 p.m.: With Osceola's loss Saturday to St. Petersburg, Seminole slides into the PCAC title game as the South representative. Countryside and Seminole have played once this season, with the Cougars winning 5-4 in eight innings.
