Stenfors heads to St. Petersburg College
Boca Ciega's Hannah Stenfors, above right, signed to play basketball at St. Petersburg College. Stenfors missed most of last season with a torn ACL but will be at full strength in the fall. She averaged a double double this season before her injury.
Stenfors ended her career with 411 points and 501 rebounds. She helped lead the Pirates to three consecutive district championships. Stenfors is the sixth Boca Ciega girls basketball player to receive a full athletic scholarship in the past six years.
Baird going to John Carroll
Clearwater Central Catholic's Connor Baird will play football for John Carroll University in Cleveland. Baird started on the offensive line the past two seasons. He also played on the defensive line, registering 21 tackles and five quarterback pressures last season. He is expected to play linebacker/defensive end in college.

Craig Roepke is a baseball player for Palm Harbor University. Another team was listed in Wednesday's Times.
McLemore signs with SPC
Clearwater Central Catholic right-hander Joe McLemore signed Tuesday with St. Petersburg College. The hard-throwing McLemore, coming off an arm injury, closed games and started for the Marauders.
McLemore also is adept with the bat and his two-out, two-run homer to dead center gave CCC all the runs it needed in its region semifinal victory over Fort Myers Bishop Verot last week.
Thigpen bound for Carson-Newman
Shorecrest's Robby Thigpen signed his letter of intent to play for Carson-Newman in Jefferson City, Tenn. Thigpen batted .400 and had an ERA of 2.87 for the Chargers during the regular season.
