Probable pitchers

RAYS: LH Blake Snell (3-4, 2.95)

JAYS: LH J.A. Happ (15-3, 3.09)

On Snell: Coming off solid outing vs. Twins. Has allowed two or fewer runs in five starts. Has 56 strikeouts in 55 innings, his 9.16 per nine innings second best among AL rookies. First start vs. Jays.

On Happ: Shares major-league lead in wins. Is 9-0, 2.49 over 10 starts since last loss on June 6. A key has been getting lots of soft contact. Is 2-3, 5.37 in 12 career games (11 starts) vs. Rays.

Handy men

With his debut at first base on Monday, Brad Miller became the seventh active player to start in all three outfield and four infield positions in his career. Three of the others are ex-Rays — Jake Elmore, Sean Rodriguez and, of course, Ben Zobrist. The others are Brock Holt, Don Kelly and Kristopher Negron.
