BOSTON — John Lackey pitched effectively into the seventh inning and the Red Sox won their third straight game after ending a 10-game skid, their longest losing streak in 20 years. Jackie Bradley, A.J. Pierzynski and former Ray Jonny Gomes had two hits and an RBI each as Boston improved to 18-6 since 2005 against the Braves. Lackey struck out nine and combined with three relievers for the Red Sox's first shutout of the season.
