Red Sox 5, Rangers 1

Boston never lost more than three straight last season when it won the World Series. It avoided dropping its first four home games for the first time since 1984. Bradley had RBI hits in the second and fourth innings off Tanner Scheppers, a fill-in in the Rangers' injury-depleted rotation.
