BOSTON — Dustin Pedroia hit a two-run double in the first and David Ortiz a two-run single in the sixth for the Red Sox, who went 8-1 for their best homestand since June 2010. Allen Webster, who was part of last year's blockbuster trade with the Dodgers, earned his first career win for Boston, which now goes on a 10-game West Coast trip. The Padres have scored just seven runs while losing a season-high six in a row.
