CINCINNATI — Homer Bailey pitched eight effective innings and drove in the go-ahead runs as the Reds won their second straight against the reeling Phillies. Bailey matched his season high in innings and picked up his first career win in five decisions over 10 games against Philadelphia. He threw a season-high 121 pitches — his career high is 125 — and gave the Reds a 2-1 lead in the fifth by grounding a two-run single against a drawn-in infield.
