CINCINNATI — Jay Bruce had two of the Reds' five steals in the second inning off Jorge De La Rosa — the most for Cincinnati in roughly a century. The Reds hadn't stolen so many bases during an inning since the 1920s, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. Brandon Phillips had four hits, and Billy Hamilton doubled in two runs in the Reds' four-run second inning.
