CINCINNATI — Jay Bruce's homer put Cincinnati ahead to stay, and the Reds clinched their second NL Central title in three years. In 2010, Bruce's leadoff homer in the ninth inning off Houston's Tim Byrdak clinched the title. He led off the fourth in this one with a homer off rookie Stephen Fife, and Mat Latos made it stand up with eight strong innings.
