Report: Owner of Marlins angers team

Owner Jeff Loria angered Marlins players this week by instructing rookie manager Mike Redmond to flop the order of starting pitchers Jose Fernandez and Ricky Nolasco for a doubleheader, Yahoo Sports reported Friday.

Loria wanted Fernandez, a rookie and former Alonso High star, to pitch the first game, which was originally slated for Nolasco because typically veterans choose which game they want to pitch. Loria believed Tuesday's game-time temperature for the first game would be warmer, the report said.

Redmond, fewer than 20 games into the season, told Nolasco about the change about 2½ hours before the first game. Loria tried to make lineup suggestions to ex-manager Ozzie Guillen, who ignored him, the report said.

Sanchez had allowed back-to-back homers and a single to start the game. Hitting coach Jay Bell was ejected in the fifth for arguing after Starling Marte was hit b for the second straight time.
