KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Yordano Ventura pitched effectively into the seventh and Kendrys Morales hit a grand slam for the Royals. Ventura (7-9), who entered the game 0-5 in seven starts since a June 17 win over the Tigers, limited the Blue Jays to one run in 6⅔ innings. Morales' third career grand slam and his first since July 30, 2012, while with the Angels, came off Brett Cecil with two outs in the eighth to break the game open.
