Seahawks make a statement in rout
GLENDALE, Ariz. — The Seahawks are storming into the postseason with a rout of the Cardinals team that had dethroned them as NFC West champs. Russell Wilson passed for three TDs in a second-quarter outburst to help snap Arizona's nine-game win streak. "Absolutely, this was a statement," Seahawks running back Christine Michael said. Seattle dominated from the start and led 30-6 at halftime. "I think sometimes people forget who we are," cornerback Richard Sherman said. It was the most one-sided loss for Arizona in coach Bruce Arians' three seasons. "This was a valuable lesson today," he said. "Coaches, players, everybody fell into … reading the press clippings that were anointing us Super Bowl champs."
