Rowdies at Columbus Crew preview capsule

Tonight

Fourth round, U.S. Open Cup

Rowdies at Columbus Crew, 7

Notable: The Rowdies advanced to the fourth round by defeating FC Cincinnati 1-0 on June 1 at Al Lang Stadium. This is the farthest Tampa Bay has advanced in the tournament since making the round of 16 in 2013, when it defeated the Seattle Sounders of MLS. Tampa Bay is undefeated in its past four matches, including Saturday's 1-1 tie at Jacksonville in the finale of the NASL's spring season. Columbus is 3-5-5 and ninth in MLS' 10-team Eastern Conference. The match will be played at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on the campus of Ohio State University instead of Mapfre Stadium, the Crew's normal home field.
