PITTSBURGH — The Rowdies lost their first USL game in nearly a month, 1-0 to Pittsburgh on Thursday night.
Riverhounds forward Chevaughn Walsh scored in the 11th minute on an assist from former Rowdies forward Corey Hertzog. Romeo Parkes put the game away in the 88th minute.
The Rowdies (6-4-6) had 62 percent of possession and 16 shots.
"We didn't convert our chances," coach Stuart Campbell said. "For an away team to create as many chances as we did, we should've got a result in the match."
Riverhounds goalkeeper Keasel Broome made five saves on a night he wasn't supposed to play. Broome played after regular starter Trey Mitchell was injured in warmups.
"It goes one way or another (in that situation,)" Campbell said. "From their perspective, (Broome) made some great saves. But from our perspective, we needed to score and didn't."
