Times' Super Seven

(records through Wednesday)

1. Countryside (10-1): The Cougars get a chance to avenge their lone loss Thursday against Gaither.

2. Tarpon Springs (7-1): The Spongers' makeup of a rainout with Palm Harbor University is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday.

3. St. Petersburg Catholic (10-0): Somehow, someway, the Barons got three games in (all victories) last week.

4. Palm Harbor University (8-3): Starting on Thursday, the Hurricanes began a stretch of three games in three days against stiff competition (East Lake, Seminole and Tarpon Springs).

5. Pinellas Park (8-4): The Patriots boast three players — Sara Nevins, Tatum McDowell and Tracy Coward — batting over .480.

6. East Lake (7-5): The Eagles have an important district game tonight against Pinellas Park. The Patriots won 4-2 in another matchup this season.

7. Northside Christian (9-1): Pitcher Jessica Anderson has the county's lowest ERA (0.02). Oh, by the way, she's only in the seventh grade.
