1. Countryside (13-2): After an impressive win over Gaither, the Cougars stumbled a bit by committing seven errors in an upset loss to Sickles.

2. East Lake (12-5): The Eagles are virtually assured the top seed and opening-round bye for the 5A-9 district tournament after defeating Tarpon Springs.

3. Pinellas Park (14-5): The Patriots, who were unranked in our last poll, are this week's biggest movers after victories over Palm Harbor University and Tarpon Springs.

4. Osceola (10-3): Barring any unforeseen upsets (read: Boca Ciega), the Warriors wrapped up first place in 5A-11 on Wednesday with a 5-2 win over Seminole.

5. St. Petersburg Catholic (13-2): The Barons looked like a team on a mission Wednesday, soundly beating a solid Canterbury squad 8-1.

6. Northside Christian

(14-1): The Mustangs' past three games — all victories — haven't made it past five innings.

7. Seminole (10-4): Appearing in its first Super Seven, Seminole could make a huge statement with a win today over Countryside at the Palm Harbor University tournament.
