Khabibulin found guilty of DUI
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Oilers G Nikolai Khabibulin was found guilty on charges stemming from a DUI arrest in February.
The decision was handed down Friday, and the four-time All-Star and former Lightning standout, 37, could face as long as six months in jail when he is sentenced Tuesday.
Lightning: AHL affiliate Norfolk hired Mike Flanagan as an assistant coach. Meanwhile, the team acquired a pair of minor-league prospects, RW Alex Berry and F Stefano Giliati, from the Maple Leafs in exchange for D Matt Lashoff.
Around the league: The Devils submitted a new contract for Russian star Ilya Kovalchuk, and the league has five days to approve or reject the deal, which reports say is $100 million over 15 years. … Free agent F Paul Kariya, 35, will not play next season after being diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome.

League suspends three
Pacers G Brandon Rush was suspended without pay for five games for violating the league's drug agreement, Kings G Tyreke Evans, the rookie of the year, was suspended without pay for one game for pleading no contest to reckless driving in California, and Heat G Kenny Hasbrouck was suspended without pay for two games for pleading guilty to driving while intoxicated in New York.
Around the league: The Knicks signed Patrick Ewing Jr., son of the team's former superstar. … The Nuggets named Masai Ujiri as executive vice president of basketball operations.

Horses: Kentucky Derby winner Super Saver leads a field of 11 3-year-olds running in the $1 million Travers Stakes today at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.
Little League: Waipahu, Hawaii, rallied from four down against Columbus, Ga., for a 12-5 victory in South Williamsport, Pa. Hawaii faces Pearland, Texas, in the U.S. title game today (4 p.m., Ch. 28), while Japan and Taiwan meet for the international crown (1 p.m., Ch. 28).
Tennis: Top-seeded Caroline Wozniacki faces wild-card Nadia Petrova in today's Pilot Pen final in New Haven, Conn.
Track: In Brussels, American Tyson Gay earned the Diamond League trophy as the season's top performer in the 100 meters, and American Allyson Felix added the 200 title to her 400 crown.
WNBA: Atlanta beat visiting Washington 101-77 to reach the East final with a two-game sweep.
