49ers (5-8) at Chargers (7-6)

The 49ers are 4-2 in their past six games, which is red-hot compared to their 0-5 start. The Chargers looked like they mean business after their 31-0 throttling of Kansas City on Sunday. The Chargers likely will be without TE Antonio Gates (foot), which changes the complexion of their offense. Even so, they're the more talented team, and, like the 49ers, are a game back in their division race with three games left.
Holder's pick: Chargers 31, 49ers 20
