DETROIT — Max Scherzer pitched eight three-hit innings to earn his fourth straight win and lead the Tigers to their season-high sixth in a row. Rajai Davis broke a scoreless tie with an RBI single in the seventh, and Victor Martinez hit a solo homer in the eighth. At 18-9, Detroit has the AL's best record. The Astros, a majors-worst 10-22, have lost three in a row. Scherzer has at least seven strikeouts in all seven starts this season, the only pitcher in franchise history to pull that off.
