DETROIT — Nick Castellanos highlighted a six-run first with a three-run homer for the Tigers, who snapped a four-game skid. After Austin Jackson struck out to lead off the inning, seven consecutive batters reached, including run-scoring singles by Victor Martinez, Torii Hunter and J.D. Martinez. After Castellanos went deep, two more Tigers reached before Hector Noesi got the final two outs. Chicago's Jose Abreu singled in the seventh to extend his hitting streak to 19 games.
