DETROIT — Justin Verlander overcame two long homers in the first and left with a 9-2 lead after six as the Tigers capped a three-game sweep. Verlander got his first win since May 30. "I didn't make a big adjustment, I just got more into my rhythm," he said. "My changeup wasn't good, but I was able to throw my slider to lefties, where usually that's just fastball and curve."
