DETROIT — Justin Verlander pitched seven strong innings as the Tigers ended the White Sox's seven-game winning streak. Chicago starter Freddy Garcia (back) and DH Manny Ramirez (hand) and Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera (shoulder) left with injuries. Umpire Angel Campos was hit by a foul tip in the eighth.
