Tired of SEC? Seminoles understand

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. — Florida State coach Jimbo Fisher knows Seminoles fans won't be the only ones rooting for his team against No. 2 Auburn in the BCS Championship Game.

The SEC has won the past seven BCS championships, and Fisher understands that many fans, mostly outside of the South, would like the reign to end.

"It (would bring) credibility," Fisher said. "The SEC deserves everything it gets. It's had a tremendous streak and a tremendous run, but there's other great football teams.

"We do carry that burden as far as being able to win for our league and the other leagues out there. We said all along the ACC is a great league and it would be very important for us. Not only for Florida State but the ACC."
