Drop in end zone lets Titans hang on
CHICAGO — Marcus Mariota threw for 226 yards and two touchdowns, and the Titans hung on to give their playoff hopes a boost, though they watched as the Bears cut their 20-point lead to six in the fourth quarter.
Bears quarterback Matt Barkley, starting for injured Jay Cutler, led the late surge. Chicago had a first down at the Titans' 7-yard line in the final minute when Josh Bellamy dropped a pass in the end zone. Barkley's next three attempts fell incomplete.
"I'm beating myself up because I expect more out of myself," Bellamy said.
