MINNEAPOLIS — Brian Dozier's three-run homer in the fifth inning put the Twins ahead for good, and Samuel Deduno pitched six sharp innings for his first win of the season. With Minnesota trailing 2-1, Dozier followed singles by Aaron Hicks and Eduardo Escobar by sending Roenis Elias' curveball into the leftfield seats. Michael Saunders had a homer and two RBIs for the Mariners.
