MINNEAPOLIS — Scott Diamond pitched a career-best seven scoreless innings in his season debut and Ryan Doumit hit a two-run homer, lifting Minnesota. Diamond retired 14 of his last 15 batters and struck out six, the most in any of his eight major-league starts, as he became the first Twins starter to pitch a scoreless game this season. Dan Haren didn't finish the fourth, the shortest of his seven starts this season for the Angels.
