Twins 7, Yankees 2

NEW YORK — Phil Hughes pitched eight poised innings in his return to New York and wound up a winner when the Twins rallied in the ninth behind big hits from Josh Willingham and Brian Dozier. Willingham hit a tying homer on the first pitch from closer David Robertson. Robertson then walked two and gave up Dozier's two-out double, putting Minnesota on top 3-2.
