Wharton volleyball player Kathryn Attar committed to the University of Colorado on Monday evening, Wildcats coach Eric Barber said.

Attar, a 6-foot-1 junior, has been one of the better hitters in the Tampa Bay area the past two seasons. Last year she helped lead Wharton to a district runnerup finish and its first playoff berth since 2012, totaling 441 kills and 55 aces.

She has continued that success this season. The Wildcats (11-1) are one of the top teams in the area, and Attar continues to lead the way, recording 137 kills and a 31.7 hitting percentage so far.

Attar, an outside hitter, chose the Buffaloes from more than 20 offers, Barber said.
