White Sox 6, Tigers 4

DETROIT — Marcus Semien's seventh-inning grand slam lifted the White Sox. Jose Abreu hit another long home run for Chicago, but it was Semien's first career slam that won it. After Tigers starter Drew Smyly pitched six strong innings, Evan Reed gave up two singles and a walk, and Ian Krol allowed Semien's homer. Closer Matt Lindstrom allowed a single, walk and two deep flyouts before retiring Alex Avila on a liner to first.
