KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Chase Whitley earned his first career win for the Yankees. He allowed five earned runs over his first four starts and left two with the lead. He got no-decisions in all four. But Brian McCann hit a three-run double to break a 1-1 tie in the third. Dellin Betances worked around a double in the eighth, and David Robertson retired Salvador Perez with runners on first and second for the final out.
