What happened: Justin Marcoux shot and injured a man who later told police he had been trying to steal a generator from the shooter's property. Marcoux said he could not see the man well and fired because he feared the burglar might be armed. He said he fired once more at Victor Alan Howren as he fled in his car. Howren, who was unarmed, survived.
