Does your teacher kick asterisk? We know, it might sound kind of dorky to even admit that you have a favorite. But everyone has had at least one teacher who makes learning fun/interesting/tolerable, right? Click here to nominate your favorite.

29 days.

That’s the magic number. To vote in the presidential election Nov. 6, you must be 18 years old and registered to vote at least 29 days before then. Count backward: That’s Oct. 9.

Here’s some other cool news from our supervisors of elections, the officials charged with running orderly elections and educating the public about their right to vote. As soon as you turn 16, you can preregister to vote.

That’s right, get it done early, then you won’t be caught short when you turn 18 and an election rolls around.

Go to the websites of your supervisor of elections office, votepinellas.com or voterfocus.com/hosting/hillsborough, to find the registration forms and more information. If you preregister, you’ll get your card when you turn 18.

Or, if you’re lucky, the supervisor’s office may be sending someone to your school to register students. Check with your school.
