Micah Warren, Wharton High junior
Magician
I just really liked magicians when I was younger. Over time, I learned how to do tricks from books, other magicians, the Internet. Once I learned the basics, I kind of learned how to put together my own stuff and how to make my own tricks. Most of the ones I do now are my originals.
Not too long ago, I was at the movies. I went to the counter to get Sour Patch Kids and a soda. The lady working asks me, “Aren’t you Micah, the magician?” I was confused. I told her that I didn’t know who she was. She asked me if I went to Wharton and told me I should show her a trick. I did, and got my soda for free.
I like seeing people’s faces and their reactions. It’s one of the main reasons I do card tricks. I never get annoyed by people asking me to do tricks. I enjoy it. I’d love it if I could make a career out of doing magic tricks. People always say to pursue what you enjoy. I love entertaining people with magic.
