The New York Times reports that book publishers are trying to entice more teenage readers to classics such as the Bronte sisters' Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights by making their covers less, well, classic.

Apparently some publishers think that teen readers raised on Twilight and Hunger Games are less inclined to pick up a book if its cover doesn't include bold, modern images, like the one posted here for Jane Eyre. (Compare a more traditional version of Jane Eyre, second image.)
