What is tb-two*?

Well, for one thing, it's the coolest high school newspaper in all the land. Watch our video and find out more.

BULLY PULPIT

Just about everyone knows someone who has been bullied, in ways big and small. Understandably, though, many victims are reluctant to speak about their experiences. We found some who aren't.

Whether you dash there between every class, or are able to get there so rarely your locker thinks it’s being broken into when you do, you might want to give your plain, ugly-colored storage space some personality this year.  The nice folks at Durant High let us in before school started to transform a locker. It’s crazy how simple things that don’t cost a fortune turned it into an inviting destination:

  • Wrapping paper (dig into that stash left over from holidays past) turns into wallpaper, held in place by magnets that let you switch paper to suit your mood.

  • Artificial flowers (these are from Walmart Supercenter, $1 a piece) with flexible stems add a bright touch. With the help of zip ties, you can lace the flower stems into the holes of   a locker shelf and tie-fasten them to the locker frame.

  • Carpet samples provide a plush flooring for your locker. If you’ve got some laying around the house, just cut it to size, or you can spring for a locker rug at school supply outlets; LockerLookz sells a shag in  various colors for $10.99.

  • Homey touch: Wrapped around the legs of the  locker shelf are pieces of a fuzzy blanket. Such details can make your locker a comforting oasis in the middle of a chaotic day.

SHOW US YOUR LOCKER: Think your locker is sweet, or crazy looking, too? Take a picture and post it on Instagram and tag #tb2andyou so they’ll appear in our gallery at left. We’ll print the best ones, too.
