What college students wish they'd done differently in high school

Compiled by Abby Rinaldi, Chamberlain High

"(I) probably would have done more of my homework (and tried) to apply for more scholarships. I (also would) have considered more options than just deciding where to go based on where my friends wanted to go. I would've made a decision for me instead of a social decision."

"I would've taken more AP classes. I didn't take any. At the time I just didn't feel like I needed to … (and I would have tried to) get better grades than I did. (I also would have) joined more clubs, more academic clubs. I joined math club, but it really didn't do much for me."

"I can honestly say not much. I had a pretty nice senior year. (I wouldn't change anything) other than probably challenging myself to take an AP English class instead of settling for an Honors English class."

"I probably would've done more research on schools and done applications earlier."
