What's the weirdest thing you ever received trick-or-treating?

If you're in high school, you probably have a lot of trick-or-treating excursions under your belt, and you've also probably got a story about something unusual you've received. If you don't have your own, read the comments from area students or go to buzzfeed.com to see the community conversation about "the Most Disappointing Thing You Ever Received Trick or Treating." (Our favorites: a rock, a potato and a Vote for Bush flier.)

Compiled by Nikki Morse, Wharton High; Rachel Curci, Plant City High; Sohini Lahiri, King High; and Katie Lamont, East Lake High.

The weirdest thing I've ever received for Halloween was a paper bag filled with sand and a candle.

The weirdest thing I've gotten in my trick-or-treat bag was Easter bunny chocolate.

My neighbor is a dentist so one year he handed out full-sized toothbrushes and . . . toothpaste. It was definitely really weird. But helpful, I guess.

One year some guy in my neighborhood ran out of candy, so he gave everybody bagels. Literally, bagels.
