What's your most embarrassing prom moment?

Prom is supposed to be the perfect night, but more often than not it's plagued with typical teenage awkwardness. Below, Wharton High students share some of their most embarrassing prom faux pas.

Compiled by Nikki Morse, Wharton High

"My boyfriend and I were dancing and when we went to pull apart, some beads from my dress got caught on his pants zipper. It was so awkward."

"I didn't know any of the people while at (the place we were taking) pictures, and I was trying to walk in these really tall heels so I ended up face-planting on the sidewalk in front of everyone."

"I watched like three girls crowd around one of our APs (assistant principals) and try to dance with him. It was the weirdest thing I've ever seen."

"I didn't know anybody while eating dinner with my prom group so I stayed on my phone the whole night just pretending to text someone. Eventually my phone died and I still just pretended to scroll through Twitter until someone caught me."

"As soon as I got into prom and saw the chocolate fountain I tried to eat way too much and ended up getting chocolate all over my dress. I still haven't cleaned it to this day."
