The pop culture news you missed this week

Jennifer Aniston

The Friends actor donated $500,000 to the American Red Cross and another $500,000 to the Ricky Martin Foundation to aid victims of Hurricane Maria. "Jennifer Aniston U R amazing Thanx 4 donating $500k for our #PuertoRico relief fund We will never forget. U R saving lives Jenn #Allin4PR," tweeted Martin.

Katy Perry

The pop star helped two fans get engaged on stage during her Witness tour. A woman named Katie proposed to her girlfriend Becky on stage Wednesday, which also happened to be National Coming Out Day. "You said you had a wish. Well, this is a shooting star," the singer told the couple, asking them what they wished for. "Well, I don't know if all of y'all have seen Becky, but she's pretty even without any makeup on. And she's perfect every time I look at her," Katie told the crowd before popping the question.

Britney Spears

Spears returned to the stage for the first time since the recent shooting in Las Vegas."What's up, Vegas?" the singer said while wearing a #VegasStrong hat. "Before I start the show, I just want to say we're here for you, you're here for us and we're going to get through this together."

Harvey Weinstein

More celebrities are breaking their silence on the sexual misconduct allegations against movie producer Harvey Weinstein.

Kate Beckinsale came forward this week, saying Weinstein offered her alcohol in a hotel room when she was 17, Tom Hanks called him an "ass" and Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth Paltrow, Asia Argento all came forward with their own experiences with Weinstein.

Model and actor Cara Delevingne also released a statement, saying Weinstein attempted to kiss her and asked to watch her kiss another woman. "At that moment I felt very powerless and scared but didn't want to act that way hoping that I was wrong about the situation," she said.

Weinstein's wife, Marchesa designer Georgina Chapman, has announced that she is leaving her husband. "My heart breaks for all the women who have suffered tremendous pain because of these unforgivable actions," Chapman told People.

"Over the last week, there has been a lot of pain for my family that I take responsibility for. I sat down with my wife Georgina, who I love more than anything, and we discussed what was best for our family," Weinstein said in his own statement. "We discussed the possibility of a separation and I encouraged her to do what was in her heart. In the end, she made the decision to separate."

Ben Affleck

Shortly after condemning Harvey Weinstein, Affleck found himself in his own sexual misconduct controversy. A video of Affleck groping Hilarie Burton during a 2003 taping of TRL went viral, prompting Affleck to tweet out an apology. "I acted inappropriately toward Ms. Burton and I sincerely apologize," he wrote. That same day, Annamarie Tendler, wife of comedian John Mulaney, tweeted: "I would also love to get an apology from Ben Affleck who grabbed my a-- at a Golden Globes party in 2014."
