MOSI announces half-priced weekday deal

MOSI is for money-savers this fall. Tampa's Museum of Science and Industry is offering a half-priced deal for the rest of the year, and to show its appreciation for county and city workers in nine bay area counties, they get a buy-one, get-one free deal.

If you are looking for an afterschool stop, the hands-on science museum is knocking off its $21.95 admission ($17.95 for kids) to half price after 2 p.m. weekdays through Dec. 31. And it's also knocking off IMAX movie tickets by 50 percent after 2 p.m. on Mondays through Fridays as well.

"No coupons needed; no special codes to remember; no secret handshakes — just come in after 2 p.m. on weekdays and your admission is 50 percent off," a museum news release said. The offer doesn't apply to special engagement films, events and the Sky Trail Ropes Course and Zip Line, or on weekends.

In addition, MOSI is offering city and county workers a buy one, get one free ticket deal every day for the remainder of the year. The offer applies to all workers with a valid employee badge in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco, Polk, Citrus, Hernando, Hardee, Sarasota and Manatee counties. This offer also expires Dec. 31, at 4801 E Fowler Ave., Tampa; (813) 987-6000.
