Reader's Exchange: He'd like music of 50s, '60s records to go to retirees

Richard of Sarasota would like to share the gift of music. He has been collecting vinyl records for more than 50 years and has a box of 1950s and '60s vocal and instrumental LPs (Andy Williams, Mitch Miller, Benny Goodman, etc.) that he would like to donate to a retirement residence or assisted living facility with a record player, for the residents' use. He has offered the LPs to some facilities in the Sarasota-Bradenton area, but none of them had a record player. He hopes an activities director for a facility in the Tampa-Sarasota-Bradenton area will contact him to make pickup or delivery arrangements. He can be reached on his cellphone at (813) 295-1967.
