This water park, which sits just across the street from SeaWorld, has plenty of rides and activities to keep the whole family busy. With nearly 40 water slides, six rivers and lagoons and more than 80,000 square feet of beach area, there's bound to be a spot for any water lover to enjoy.
The park, which opened in 2008, recently added a new ride, the Omaka Rocka, a thrill ride that features high-speed tubes and half-pipe funnels. For kids of all ages, there is the 15,000-square-foot Walkabout Waters. There is a shallow pool for splashing around and swimming for youngsters. For older kids, there is the elaborate network of ladders, rope bridges and slides where they can explore, shoot water cannons and get doused by two gigantic water buckets that tip every five minutes or so, dumping their load from about 60 feet up.
The signature ride of the park is the Dolphin Plunge in which you slide 250 feet through clear tubes as you shoot past a tank full of Commerson's dolphins and then splash down into a shallow pool. However, to actually see the dolphins, you may want to take Loggerhead Run, a lazy river which takes you slowly past the dolphin tank. On Dolphin Plunge, you're moving so fast, there's no guarantee you'll see the dolphins.
You will also want to hit the beach to jump into the waves. And if you have the money, renting a cabana can ensure you a place to rest and relax in the shade during your day at the park.
The park also offers a dining deal which allows visitors to eat and drink Pepsi products all day for one price.
