Located east of Tampa, near Lake Wales, Bok Tower Gardens offers spacious landscaped gardens designed by Frederick Law Olmstead Jr. (his father designed Central Park and the grounds of the Biltmore Estate), a 1930s era winter estate and the "Singing Tower." The centerpiece is 60-bell carillon atop Bok Tower that can be heard ringing out over the 250 acres of gardens daily at 1 and 3 p.m.
If you're interested in touring the tower, though, be aware that only those who have a membership to the Gardens are eligible. And even then, those tours are limited.
The gardens also host concerts at various times of the year, including moonlight concerts in the spring.
