The beauty of a dive is there is always more than meets the eye. One glance at Green Parrot might have newbies shying away - there's graffiti scrawled in old varnish on the bar, torn vinyl bar stools, billiard-chalk-dusted wood paneling and beer lamps, and the pervasive smell of fryer grease. Well, such squeamish folks would miss out on cheap beer and pool (only 50 cents a game!), imports on draft, friendly bartenders and colorful regulars.It's a mixed set of Carrollwood suburbanites frequenting here, for the most part. It's usually a pretty chill place with middle-aged folks singing karaoke on one side and younger people rocking the touch-screen juke box and shooting pool on the other.
