The 60-acre Helen Howarth Park is a planned park, being developed in phases. Amenities include: three lighted little league baseball fields, a two-story scorekeeper/concession building, a ball field for senior players, 12 lighted racquetball courts, a two-third-mile nature trail, two volleyball courts, a playground and six picnic pavilions. Pinellas Park is home to a lot of horse-lovers and Helen Howarth is home to the city's wooded Equestrian Trail, which winds around the park's perimeter. The Helen Howarth Park Horse Arena provides additional opportunities for riding practice and hosts a variety of equestrian events and horse shows.
