Local restaurateur Hook Atsavinh is no longer with us, but his eponymous restaurant continues on. It offers dollar sushi Wednesday evenings raucous enough to require a parking-lot jockey to keep wayward vehicles in line. Mostly it's about the ambience, a welcoming mix of young and old tossing back Kirin Ichibans and trying to be heard. There's enough variety to add up to a nice meal, all of the fish fresh. The combo rolls pack ingredients in with gusto, sometimes even willy-nilly, but that seems to be how St. Petersburg likes it.
