A great spot for a business lunch or a totally reliable date-night destination, J. Alexander's is part of a collection of restaurants (started in Nashville) offering upscale dining in a relaxed atmosphere. Think of it as a little like a Bonefish, but with less fish and more steaks and chicken. The bar area makes a great spot to meet for drinks with friends who might be scattered between St. Pete or Clearwater or North Tampa because of the restaurant's easy access at Dale Mabry and I-275.
