Located along the waterfront as you enter Madeira Beach from the south, this popular Tampa Bay tourist attraction features restaurants, shopping, personal watercraft rentals, fishing charter boats and just about any other Florida tourist activity you can imagine. It's a great place to take visiting relatives from out of town. They can pick up souvenir Florida T-shirts or eat a grouper sandwich at one of the many fresh Florida seafood restaurants there (the catch is often straight from the charter boats that operate out of there). For shrimp, and all things Forrest Gump, try The Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. If you want to see dolphins, be sure to catch one of the boats going out of the pass that takes you through the intercoastal waters for an up-close view of the friendly finsters. And for those who just want to soak it all in, there are several places where you can order a beer, settle into a sun-soaked deck and live your own version of the island life.
