Comprehensive permanent collection of 19th century French and American paintings, early 20th century American paintings and photography. On display:    Dig is interdisciplinary artist Dominique Labauvie's exploration of the drawn line, executed in his signature media of steel and pastels. Through July 2. Dorothy Height's Hats is an exhibition of 42 of the civil rights icon's  treasured hats, which carry historical significance. Remains on display through July 23. Skyway: A Contemporary Collaboration brings work by artists from Pinellas, Hillsborough, Sarasota and Manatee counties to the MFA, the Tampa Museum of Art and the Ringling. Remains on display through October 1.

Hours: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, Friday-Saturday; 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Thursday; noon-5 p.m. Sunday. The museum is closed on Christmas Day.

Thursdays: Admission is $5 from 5-8 p.m. Also, any MFA guest who goes to the museum on Thursday night can take the receipt to Parkshore Grill or 400 Beach and get 10 percent off dinner.
